Hebrew Language Teacher – Full or Part Time

About this Position

Berman Hebrew Academy, in Rockville, MD, seeks a full or part time Hebrew Language teacher to begin August 2022. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Hebrew or related fields, three or more years of high school classroom teaching experience, and a commitment to helping students become insightful speakers, readers, and writers of Hebrew language and Israeli culture. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively within and outside of the department and demonstrate an interest in ongoing professional growth.

 Ideal candidates will have:

• A passion for teaching foreign language to Middle and High School students
• Experience in differentiating instruction, familiarity with Project Based Language Learning (PBLL), and a passion for creating dynamic and engagement lesson
• Comfort with technology

Responsibilities:

• Part time (mornings) teaching  in middle and upper school
• Additional duties typical of full time teachers
• Participation in team meetings 

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Hebrew Language or Education
• A command of Hebrew language instruction
• Familiarity with Bishvil HaIvrit (Neta) preferred
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
