Pesach Travel and Hosting Decision Aid

At this time, traveling and hosting unvaccinated guests is discouraged. If you choose to partake in these behaviors, please follow the below decision aid.

Please note:

  • A vaccinated individual is at least 2 weeks post their last dose of the vaccine and within 3 months after their last dose of the vaccine.
  • If a vaccinated individual is experiencing COVID-like symptoms, they should NOT visit unvaccinated individuals.
  • Please take into account ALL possible members outside your household with whom you may interact over Pesach break. Children under 16 are not eligible for vaccines at this time and are therefore considered unvaccinated.
  • If your family interacts with unvaccinated members outside your household after the first days of chag, students will need to complete a 10-day reduced exposure period beginning the day after last contact.
    • Families should not interact with NEW unvaccinated individuals after the first days of Chag, this include second days. If you do, students will need to complete a 10-day reduced exposure period. This does not include people with whom you have already been in contact BEFORE Chag, rather people you are interacting with (indoor meals, unmasked, not distanced) after the first days.
    • Our Preschool is opening for in-person school on April 6. If a Preschool student interacts with unvaccinated members outside their household, he/she will need to complete a 10-day reduced exposure period.
    • The 10-day reduced exposure period would begin the day after you are last with unvaccinated members outside your household. During this time, individuals should be very mindful about following our community guidelines including mask wearing, physical distancing, and no indoor gatherings.
  • Pesach programs introduce many potential exposures, as well as numerous complex questions. If you plan on attending a Pesach program, please communicate your plans and details to Miriam Kotek so that we can provide you with guidelines and information
