About the Position

Berman Hebrew Academy is a Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School seeking a passionate, creative, and nurturing History teacher to start the 2026-2027 school year. We are a warm and inclusive community of learners- students, educators, administrators, and staff offering a private Jewish education to children from Early Childhood – 12th Grade all together on one beautiful campus.

The Ideal Candidate has: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in history or related field
  • Teaching certification and / or master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years high school classroom teaching experience
  • The ability to teach a variety of History & Social Studies topics and with a student population of varying ability levels is required.
  • A desire to work with Upper School students in a supportive college-preparatory environment.
  • Basic computer literacy as well as strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Salary:

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 – $85,000, based on experience and qualifications. This range is our best estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined at the time of the offer.
