The Berman Upper School provides our students with skills and opportunities to explore and develop their religious and spiritual selves. A critical component of our program is helping our students explore their interests and aspirations post graduation through college counseling.
Our College Counseling Team works to support students and families throughout the entire college guidance process. Starting in 9th grade with grade-wide presentations, the process moves towards individual and family meetings beginning in 11th grade. Along with discussion of college options, advising includes discussions about Upper School course selection, summer internship and program options, SAT/ACT testing options, Naviance and application processes, assistance with financial aid and scholarship resources, essay writing support, and guidance through the deferral process for students planning a gap year.
