Introducing Our MafTeach Fellows

November 17, 2023

Dear Berman Community,

Jewish educators are an essential resource for the Jewish community and Jewish future. As Day School enrollment continues to grow, Baruch Hashem, we are in need of more inspired and inspiring Jewish educators. Through their Chinuch Incubator, Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration in partnership with the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, created the MafTeach Fellowship, an opportunity to help increase the pipeline of students going into the field of Jewish education.

We are pleased to share that our Berman Upper School was asked to host and mentor eight fellows. Our Berman Fellows will visit our school and community four times throughout the course of the year, providing an immersive opportunity for Fellows to gain exposure and access to educators, students, teaching methods, and communities. Their first visit will be tomorrow, November 17.

We look forward to sharing more information as the year progresses. Please see below to “meet” our Fellows.
